- Brief description: Custom dining table in ambrosia maple with removable bread board-type extensions. Seats 10 comfortably and 12 if needed.

- Materials
- Primary wood species: Ambrosia maple and tiger maple for all components
- Finishes used: Tried and True Varnish Oil (6 coats); Tried and True Orignal (final topcoat). Hand rubbed and burnished. So much rubbing!
- Construction Methods: Base is assembled with mortise and tenon joinery. Top is mounted to the base with buttons and threaded inserts and furniture bolts. Removable extensions are attached with custom made wooden supports. Supports were made with elongated holes and attached with threaded inserts and furntiture bolts to allow the main part of the top to expand/contract if left on permanently.
- Dimensions: Main top is 72″ wide x 42″ deep. Breadboard extensions are 12″ wide x 42″ deep., making the full size 96″wide x 42 deep “x 30″ high. Top is 1.5” thick with rounded over edges on top and slight chamfer on bottom.

- Project duration: ~ three months for the entire build and finishing. Sourcing the materials took extra time to find enough similar looking ambrosia maple slabs and board stock
