- Brief description: Custom dining table in black cherry with removable bread board-type extensions. Seats 8 comfortably and 10 if needed.

- Materials
- Primary wood species: All black cherry
- Finishes used: Tried and True Varnish Oil (6 coats); Tried and True Orignal (final topcoat). Hand rubbed and burnished.
- Construction Methods: Base is assembled with mortise and tenon joinery. Slab legs with three stretches create a minimalist design. Top is mounted to the base with figure 8 connectors Removable extensions are attached with 80/20 aluminum extrusions, drilled/bored to accept furniture bolts. Threaded inserts in the top.
- Dimensions: Main top is 72″ wide x 36″ deep. Breadboard extensions are 12″ wide x 36″ deep., making the full size 96″wide x 46″ deep “x 30″ high. Top is 1.5” thick with slight round over on top edges and chamfer on bottom edges

- Timeline
- Project duration: ~ six weeks for the entire build and finishing. Sourcing the materials took extra time to find enough similar looking ambrosia maple slabs and board stock.
